We want patients and the public to get involved and to help us ensure that the services we plan and buy locally meet the needs of the people of Barking and Dagenham. One way that we achieve this is ask the Governing Body a question at a their bi-monthly meeting, please contact email@example.com seven days before the meeting. Or get involved with our patient engagement forum or join your patient participation group.
The forum consists of local Redbridge patients who are often members or chairs/vice-chairs of their own GP surgery's Patient Participation Groups (PPGs). This enables them to tell the CCG about what is happening at grassroots primary care level as well as their experiences of using secondary care and community services e.g. what works well, what doesn't and ideas for improvement.
Through the forum patients also have the opportunity to be involved in commissioning and give the CCG vital feedback on how it is doing, a bit of a critical friend if you like.
The group currently meets every two months.
If you have any questions about the work of the Patient Engagement Forum contact Boba Rangelov on 020 3182 2908 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
A Patient Participation Group is a group of patients interested in health and healthcare issues, who want to get involved with, and support the running of, their local GP Practice. Contact your GP surgery for more information on how to join.
