Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge CCGs are committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of adults from abuse and neglect. 

We work with our partner organisations, the local authority and police, to ensure that all commissioned services have effective safeguarding arrangements in place. 

Who is at Risk of Adult Abuse? 

Those who are over the age of 18 years, in need of care, who may have a mental, physical or learning disability, or illness and is unable to take care of himself or herself, or unable to protect himself or herself from harm. 

People can be abused in different ways. The different types of abuse are listed below:
