The NHS is facing a challenging time. There is rising local demand for NHS services and the cost and availability of treatments continues to increase, which means it is all the more essential that we spend our limited resources in the most effective way.
This why we want to change some of the things that we spend local NHS money on.

Fertility Policy – This policy is intended to support individuals and couples who want to have a baby, but who have a clinical problem which means that they are potentially infertile.
Procedures of Limited Clinical Effectiveness (POLCE) policy – This policy sets out when the CCGs will currently fund certain procedures, and the eligibility criteria

We will take into account people’s responses to our proposals and this will inform a more detailed final EIA, which will go to our governing bodies to consider before any decision is made about these proposals.
