Extra urgent GP appointments this Christmas in Redbridge

This Christmas there will be extra urgent, same day GP appointments in Redbridge. The appointments are available every day during the holiday period – including Christmas Day and Boxing Day. 

Appointments will be available for urgent, same day appointments and available every day across the borough. Patients will need to call NHS 111 or 020 3770 1888 to book an appointment. 

During the festive period, our local A&E departments remain very busy. The extra urgent GP appointments in your area will help to ensure our A&E doctors and nurses to concentrate their efforts on those who really need it.

Remember, if you’re not sure where is best to go for medical advice or treatment, call NHS 111 anytime and they will advise you. 

There are lots of ways to get urgent medical advice and treatment in Redbridge this Christmas.

    • Pharmacy - many common illnesses such as coughs or colds can be easily treated by visiting your local pharmacy. Your pharmacist can offer advice on how to best look after yourself at home with rest and over-the-counter treatments. There are a number of pharmacies in Redbridge open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Pharmacy opening hours can be found on the Redbridge CCG website.  
    • NHS 111 – for medical help quickly, but it’s not life threatening, call NHS 111. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the free telephone service is staffed by trained advisors and experienced clinicians who can assess and offer advice and direct to the right service.
