Paulz Surgery is closing

22 March 2018

Despite best efforts and much careful consideration, Paulz Surgery will be closing on 31 May 2018.

Dr Eric Paul is retiring in May. Following Dr Paul’s resignation, we have considered all possible options for providing GP services to patients, and we have decided to support patients to register at neighbouring GP practices, in line with NHS England policy.

If you are a patient at the Paulz Surgery, you will need to register with a new practice by 30 May 2018 to continue receiving GP services.

There are six GP practices within one mile of Paulz Surgery, all of which are accepting new patients.

All patients registered at the surgery have been informed of the decision via a letter, which contains the contact details of these practices. You should register with one of these practices as soon as possible.

How to register with a different GP practice

  1. Go online. Visit NHS Choices website at and enter your postcode to find out more about the practices near you, and how to register
  2. Contact one of the practices listed on the back of this letter
  3. Speak to reception staff at Paulz Surgery for advice
  4. Come to a drop-in information event at the practice. Staff will be on hand to advise you on registering with a new practice. Information event dates:
    Tuesday 10 April, 3.30pm - 5pm
    Thursday 19 April, 11.30am - 1pm

Staff at your chosen GP practice will confirm whether you live within their catchment area and help you to register. Once you are registered with a new practice, your medical records will transfer automatically.

If you need support or have any specific concerns, please contact Paulz Surgery directly on 020 8597 0924 or call the NHS England customer contact line on 0300 311 2233.
